Banana Split

This is such an easy recipe to make, I don’t know why anyone would  ever spend  money to buy a banana split from the ice cream place?!  I like the real cream not some fake whipped topping... and this tastes way better!   And plus, you can use whatever ice cream you like and suits your fancy or you are in mood for.

I like to make my banana split with chocolate ice cream, Neapolitan (which is chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream) and vanilla. Another choice would be the maple walnut ice cream. Find the ones you like and make your own combination and then, drop me a line in the comment box and tell me all about it. Love to hear new ideas!

Enjoy!

I made this recipe for 1 serving, but you can easily multiply the quantities with as many servings as you want to make. You got the idea. : –)

Ingredients:
1 oz. chocolate
1-2 tbsp. milk
1 scoop each, chocolate, Neapolitan and vanilla ice cream
1 banana
 Whipped cream
Maraschino cherry, for garnish

Directions:
Place chocolate into a small pot and melt on low heat, stirring occasionally, (or microwave it).  Add milk enough to make a sauce that you can drizzle on top of the ice cream.

Place the scoops of ice cream, side by side into a deeper bowl, (an oval bowl works best).
Peel and cut banana in half. Place the halves beside the scoops of ice cream, one half on each side.

Top with whipping cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Garnish with a cherry on top if you like.

Enjoy!

Makes: 1 serving
